News: Athletics
If your child is planning on playing a fall sport: football, cheer, Volleyball, Cross Country, you will need to add the sport in final forms.
Then you will need to fill out the forms specific for athletics that is required by the OHSAA. They will also need a physical by August 1st in order to participate. No physical no practice. You can upload the forms in final forms or get them to your coach.
Ohsaa also requires mandatory parent/student-athlete meeting in order to participate. The middle school requires that both parent/ guardian and student-athlete be in attendance. 7th and 8th grade interscholastic sports is much different that youth, summer league. Your child's coaches will go over all the specfics needed to have a successful season.
All 7/8th grade practices and games can be found under the Arts and Athletic tabs on the schools webpage, click on calendar. Updates are also give on MS Facebook page and coaches remind.
The following is when your child's sport is having their meeting:
Cross Country: Monday July 25 6pm MS Assembly room
Cheer: Wednesday July 27th 4:30pm MS Assembly room
Volleyball: Wednesday July 27th 5:30 MS Gym
Football: Wednesday July 27th 8pm MS Gym
* If you are unable to attend you must meet with your childs coach before official practice begins.

SIGN UPS ARE SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 6th 5:30PM-7:00PM AND JUNE 13th 5:30PM-7:00PM AND JUNE 20TH 5:30PM-7:00PM. IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO ONE OF THESE DAYS, CONTACT ME AND WE WILL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS.
THERE IS A FEE OF $100 DUE AT THE SIGN UP AND CAN BE EITHER CASH OR CHECK. THE PLAYER WILL BE FITTED FOR A HELMET AT THE SIGN UP ALSO. THE FEE GOES TO PAY FOR INSURANCE, REFEREE FEES AND EQUIPMENT.
THE SIGN UPS WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL PARKING LOT.
